[Mino handmade Japanese paper x [ Indigo dyeing of Itoshiro - 2020]

The shade of indigo dyeing is beautiful. The ultimate Nagara River basin product.
An unmistakable special collaboration Japanese umbrella made from Mino handmade Japanese paper dyed with indigo grown in Gifu Itoshiro.

One of the five limited editions this season. Only this one is a sun umbrella.

When viewed from the front side, it looks as if indigo has been dyed.
At the time of dyed Japanese paper, it looked like a series of mountains, but I was surprised at the completely different look when it became a Japanese umbrella.
It is a Japanese umbrella that has a deep taste, as if it was difficult to stretch it.

The handle is screw-type and removable, so it can be carried compactly.

A Japanese umbrella that cannot be made from scratch by yourself.
This Japanese umbrella, made by the hands of many craftsmen, has its own hardships and thoughts, and the beauty of the existence itself seems to represent it.

◆ Mino Handmade Japanese Paper: Terada Japanese Paper Studio Yukio Terada

All Gifu Japanese umbrellas are carefully made one by one by the hands of craftsmen.

It takes over two months to make one Japanese umbrella.

Japanese umbrellas, which are said to be ``open as flowers, closed as bamboo'', are traditional Japanese crafts that are filled with the skill of craftsmen and attention to detail.

Each Japanese umbrella is created through numerous production processes that last over two months.

The thoughtfulness of craftsmen and traditional techniques create delicate beauty.

The framework of a Japanese umbrella is made from a piece of bamboo that is split evenly and assembled so that when the umbrella is folded, it returns to its original shape.

The moment you open it, the colors of the Japanese paper and the delicate threads create a beautiful shadow that surrounds the person holding it.
All of these are the only Japanese umbrellas in the world, created through the painstaking work of craftsmen.
